I don't think there will be so many of you who would like this post,but anyways here i go..

After more than 60 years of so called freedom where are we standing today? Our corruption rate is much higher than the GDP,PM makes his all decision on the signal of an Italian lady,we take pride for killing only 12 terrorists after 2 and a half days and proudly hold the assassin in the five star jail for the next three years(and counting..).We live in a country where for the last five years,5 people per day are being killed by naxals and our PM *requests* them not to do so on the Independence day morning!We take pride for people not knowing even the national language by saying "UNITY IN DIVERSITY" Even after these many years thousands of people don't have food to eat even once per two days while tons of grain rots in government godowns. We live in a country where people like Narendra Modi are criticized for the encounter of terrorists and Sharad Pawar is free even after killing many poor because of price rise! I don't remember if government announced pay hike for the soldiers after 26/11,but a person slaps Mr Sharad Corrupt Pawar n up goes the number of guards around him.We keep saying *all are equal* and still there is reservation quota in every sector.*heights*

We live in the country where only people caring for it are on the border or in the heavens!!We live in a country where we are free to copy anything from foreign countries from magic tricks to music to film scripts to the facebook statuses for "our" Republic day ! We live in a country where we take pride by saying "28 states, 161 languages,6400 castes., 6 religions, 29 major festivals &1 country" even when there are more than 30 places eager to make their state/area as a different country and PM has to make a statement every second day saying "Kashmir and Arunachal are still  part of our country ",why??

We live in a country where many farmers are not earning more than 5 rs a day and i spend almost  50 rs a day for the internet!!! I think we are the only country of this planet where PM of so called  youngistan can be  78 years old .. !We live in a place where we are not guaranteed to get back to home at the end of the day but afzals and kasabs are safe in jails!!!I dont know if  someone remembers the national anthem on days other than 15 august and 26th jan.


I don't know how and why but VANDE MATRAM over the years seems to have changed to "ONE-DAY MATRAM.“No Nation is Perfect, it needs to be made perfect.” agreed,but for that you first have to accept that we are not perfect and stop pretending to be the best nation in the world.It high time that we start learning from countries like japan and china and move forward from the place where we have been from the last 60 years.I actually don't think its always about dying for the country,its equally important that we start living for it.

Thunder Down Under!

Brett Lee Bowls it full,Yuvi hits it through the off side for four...Let alone those emotional scenes after winning the quarterfinals in aapnu amdavad, I still remember Laxman and Dravid tearing apart   Australia's streak 16 of consecutive test victories in what looked like "It will be a next to miracle situation if India wins!" after India had been forced a follow-on in Kolkata and the scenes at Perth where India denied the Aussies their 17th,again!

There's always an air of awesomeness whenever India tours Australia.The lush green outfields,chin music,verbal battles,genuine swing on the ball,the unpredictable crowd,fantastic camera work and amount of technology used..can't get enough of it..

Over the last 10 years India has toured Australia twice n for me they have been he to of the very best tours we have had to Australia.A hard fought drawn series in 2003 and a series that could have been won had the umpires were not sleeping in that epic Sydney test(where I don't still understand why Symonds was given Man of the match instead of Steve bucknor).

This probably is the first time when India is touring the Australia as the favorites.And the simple reason for that is India still has the fire that almost burnt the Aussies in the previous 2 tours in the faces of Sachin,Dravid,Laxman,Zahir,Sehwag,Gambhir,Dhoni and Ishant.While Australia is busy filling in the voids left after the retirements of players like Hayden, Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Warne, Symonds, Mcgrath, Langer, Gillespie and so may more who made Australia the super power it was during those two tours. Jeez I should have used the word black hole instead of void.

If the Australians were the invincibles the last time we visited them,this time they are the team who have lost more matches than any other team apart from west indies and bangladesh after 2008.The worst thing for Australia right now is that the only player who was the part of the winning team in 2008 against us is Micheal Clarke.Though Ponting and Hussey are still there,they are not performing as they used to do back then.May be that's the reason most of the people are writing Aussies off but for me they are going to be the most dangerous players to look for if we want to come back with the border gavaskar trophy,because as they say "form is temporary,class is permanent." and the class is dangerous when it is fighting for the place in the side.

Whatever the outcome of this series may be,it promises to be a great entertainer as always.May be it would have been even better had Star cricket not chosen ganguly in place of Harsha bhogle,who would have added much more fun to the game with his amazing commentary.

With many records awaited to be made and many more about to be broken..its time to change your biological clock to Aussie times..!!
